Swimming

Woohoo swimming tonight, absolutely cannot wait - get to see Kate which will be fab, but more importantly I'll be able to get back into training, I'm going for a run today as well - changed the circuit - lengthened it and can't wait, if need be I'll walk bits of it.

Gonna see the fit lifeguard hopefully as its a Tuesday - but as my arms are a completely different colour to my legs its going to be amusing! Didn't get as good a tan on my legs as my arms and face. I met Lainey, the mum of Craig who passed away yesterday and had the best fun ever, just laughed and laughed and talked and talked, she's amazing, can't wait to see her next month, and Ashlee - Craig's lil sister, she's gorgeous can't wait to meet her.

Right another quickie I'm afraid - I've got a list as long as my arm to do... Oops!

Back to Reality

Hey all,

Sorry for the neglection for the last to weeks. I've just returned from the most amazing time in Germany for the world cup.

I won't bore everyone with minor details but I've come back 4 pounds lighter and with a clear head which is what's important.

Germany has provided me with some major thinking time, and also the opportunity to take a break from training. I can't wait to start training again, its going to be great to get back to running. I'm going for a walk later with my mum then swimming on Tuesday. Back to reality eh!

For Craig

Hey everyone,

I feel up to writing a proper entry today. Yesterday was spent in tears - my face actually hurt from crying. I swam and swam and swam till i could go no further, Craig was in my head telling me to stop crying and do something. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to use this inspirational young man to do something positive with my life. I spoke to many papers yesterday and radio stations. There's a radio station and two local papers very interested. I'm actually considering calling some of the big tabloid papers - they have room for Page 3 girls, they can have room for me and the appeal.

Me and Kate are swimming tonight, its lovely to have a swimming buddy once a week, I promised myself not to cry today, so I'm not going to. I'm hoping that I'll be able to say goodbye to Craig properly - sounds daft really I never met him whilst he was alive but he's had such an influence on my life.

I've got the boys from next door today as well - we're going to a park in Bolton and are having a cool free day out, fingers crossed I don't get scared by the frog or butterflies in the tropical house! *whistles innocently* they terrify me!

Love to you and yours

In Memory of a Friend

Hi all,
I'm devasted by the passing of my friend Craig Brown, he was the most amazing person - such a fighter until the end. Breathe free my friend, I know I'll see you again one day.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not here I do not sleep

I am the thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die.

RIP Craig.

Long time... No Post

Hey all,

I'm so so sorry for the delay in the next post. Training's been much easier this week with me being able to finally see some progress. I can now run 2K with a break after 1. I went to see my doctor today and mentioned that I was having some pain in my ankle and I've officially got my first sports injury! WOOHOO I've sprained my ankle!haha I've been deep heating my ankle - so smelling like a footballer.

I've got 2 wonderful friends that I've met on the cf boards who have cf. Both of them haven't been well recently, and Tom (my lil bro) has also been quite ill. Its brought it home to me just how important this running is. We've raised over £2000 on the just giving site which is amazing. Not quite as amazing as the woman who's organised this - i'm in complete awe of Emily.

I'm going for a run tomorrow and a swim on Sunday morning, hopefully the fit lifeguard will be there and I can swoon at him, he's soooo lush! hehe Oh well - i'm kinda convinced I have very little chance with him, but we'll see.

Right well that's kind of a pathetic entry but its an entry nonetheless. Oh and can I just say hello to my Grandma and Grandpa who I know have had a peek at my blog - love you both lots and lots and I really hope I'll be able to come and see you soon.

Birdy Song

Thanx to all the lovely people at the Agadoo Appreciation Society for donating the last £50 needed to make me sing the Birdy Song. I shall be doing said task tomorrow morning and actually really enjoying myself! Its going to be a chance to let my hair down. I'll put the pictures on here and www.pwcf.net as well.

Thanks to all - we're doing great on the fundraising as is Shadow and her hubby - who's agreed (rather had his arm twisted) to be waxed for charity - Good on ya Ilan, hope Shadow's gentle!

Love Katie xxx
